Sponsorships

Sponsorships are available at various levels to support the Foundation while providing donor recognition at events and in communications.

In-Kind Giving

Donations of in-kind goods and services like use of vacation property, a golf foursome at an exclusive course, home services, and new luxury items, help us in our fundraising and support efforts since we can auction them at an event to raise money for grants and scholarships.  The fair market value of these donations are tax deductible.  Check with your tax advisor for details.

Wire Transfer

Your contribution may be wired directly from your account to the SWCF account. Please contact Treasurer Eric Ganz for wiring instructions.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

Have you thought about a charitable contribution made directly from your IRA or 401(k)?  You can make a QCD from your retirement account as early as 70 1/2 years (even though your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) doesn’t start until 72). Up to $100,000 of your QCD may can count toward your RMD and you may realize a significant tax savings by removing an otherwise taxable RMD payment from your income on your tax return.  You should consult with your tax/financial advisor to determine if a QCD makes sense for you.

Appreciated Assets including Stocks

Have you considered giving appreciated assets (stocks, mutual funds) to charity? The tax benefits of such a transfer can be extremely attractive. If you have held the appreciated assets for more than one year, you can give them to a qualified charity without having to pay a tax on any capital gains. You will still get a charitable deduction for the stock’s fair market value on the day you give it away. You should consult with your tax/financial advisor to learn more about the benefits of donating appreciated assets. Contact our Foundation Treasurer Eric Ganz for instructions on making stock/security transfers to the Foundation.

In Honor/Memory Gifts

Making an in honor or memorial donation is a way to recognize a loved one while making a difference to someone in need.  If making your gift online, select In Honor of and following the instructions.  If making a donation by mail, please provide the name of your loved one along with the name and address of who you would like to be notified.  For more information, send an email to info@shadowwoodcharitablefoundation.org
